What "Sell" and "Share" Mean
Under California law, "selling" means disclosing personal information to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration. "Sharing" means disclosing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.
Mindapt's Practice: We do not engage in either of these activities. We:
- Do not sell personal information to data brokers, advertisers, or any third parties.
- Do not share personal information for targeted advertising purposes.
- Do not use student data for any advertising or marketing purposes.
- Only share data with service providers who are contractually bound to use it solely to provide services to us.

- Educational Information: Learning progress, assessment results, course completion data.

How to Submit a Request
To exercise any of your California privacy rights, you can submit a request by contacting us:

- The specific right you wish to exercise
- Sufficient information to verify your identity
- If submitting on behalf of a student, your relationship to the student and authorization

Here's what to expect after you submit a privacy request:

Response
Response within 45 days
We will respond to your request within 45 calendar days. If we need additional time, we will notify you and may take up to 90 days total. You can make a verifiable consumer request up to twice within a 12-month period.
Verification Process
To protect your privacy, we must verify your identity before responding to your request. We may:
- Ask you to confirm account information (email, name) that matches our records.
- Request additional information to verify your identity.
- Use a third-party verification service in some cases.
Authorized Agents: You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf. The agent must provide written authorization signed by you, and we may still require you to verify your identity directly.
For Student Data: Parents or guardians may submit requests regarding their child's information. Schools may also submit requests on behalf of students as authorized.
Non-Discrimination Commitment
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights. You will receive the same quality of service and pricing whether or not you exercise your rights. We do not offer financial incentives for collecting, selling, or retaining personal information.
